Refund policy

Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Our Return policy lasts 30 days; during this time, you may return your goods. If it is more than 30 days, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange. The customer pays return shipping costs. 
Please note that due to the handmade nature of Fair Trade items, slight variations are to be expected and add to the beauty and authenticity of our items.
Please contact us at customerservice@luciasimport.com before returning the item. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. 
Damaged items should be reported within 7 days of delivery. We will always replace or credit your account for damaged or missing items. You must photograph damaged items and keep the packaging for 48 hours after reporting damage, so that we can submit a claim with USPS.

Important: Please include the paperwork you received with your order or a printout of your email confirmation to process your return. 
If you are shipping an item over $75, please consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance.

PLEASE NOTE ALL OF OUR ITEMS ARE HANDMADE. Our artisans produce many pieces and are very creative; therefore, they may change paint colors and patterns occasionally. If you prefer a certain color or pattern, email customerservice@luciasimports.com at the time of your order. 

Refunds:
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 1-2 business days.

Late or missing refunds:
If you haven’t received the expected refund, first check your account again. 
Then contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at customerservice@luciasimports.com.

Exchanges:
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at customerservice@luciasimports.com and send your item to: 328 North Ashland Ave, Lexington, Kentucky, USA 40502.

Gifts:
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver, and they will learn of your return.
