Prokritee improves women's standard of living with safe jobs, fair wages, and the goal of self-reliance, helping mothers send their children to school to break the cycle of generational poverty. Prokritee employs women traditionally excluded from the market: widows, heads of households, rural poor, or landless without another source of income. They are experts at keeping waste out of landfills and waterways, using recycled sari, eco-friendly dyes, and their award-winning water-hyacinth paper.
