It's Fall, Y'all

The leaves are changing colors, you're pulling those big sweaters out of the back of your closet, and everything you eat is suddenly pumpkin spice flavored. Fall is here, and I couldn't be more excited. Fall and spring have always been my two favorite seasons here in Kentucky. There's so much anticipation for seeing friends again with back-to-school; families get to go out to Boyd's orchard and drink fresh cider; the holidays are getting closer and closer. With all the change around me, I love to take stock of what I have in my closet, and I love to do some redecorating in my home to make everything just a little bit cozier as the weather cools off and I start spending more time inside.

This year I feel like I need to switch things up more than ever. The pandemic, the racial injustice, the political climate in our country - they have really worn me down. I bet that as a person who cares deeply for social justice across the globe, these things have broken your heart too. That's why I've put together a list of 20 Fall Favorite items for your home and closet that can help us reset the energy around us and get us ready to take on the rest of the year with a renewed spirit. This list of must-have items for fall supports those most severely impacted by racial and socio-economic injustices in our world. Everyday you use them, you make a difference for the better. So here it is: Lucia's Top 20 Fall Favorites Guide.

For Your Home

During fall I seem to end up in the kitchen more and more. With friendsgivings and family dinners, there's always something in the oven. So I was sure to add a ton of our kitchen supplies to the guide. Shop each and every one below:

First up on the list, we've got loads of mugs, because giving every guest a wacky mug is always a fun dinner party idea. I love seeing which ones end up being everyone's favorite. And, with a variety of beautiful mugs, no one is confused about whose cup is whose. #safetyfirst

Durable and beautiful oven mitts, dish towels, and other cookware are essential for the everyday home cook. I've added my two favorite items that I love to use in my kitchen on the regular. Not to mention the breadbasket set makes for an excellent gift.

For those of you who are more the dinner attendee than hostess types, don't worry - I haven't forgotten about the rest of the home. Macrame and recycled material wall art is very in and very cozy for fall. By adding decor made from nature's best, you can keep the house feeling warm while it gets chillier outside. And I've tossed in an option for the kids too! Redecorating is a fun activity for the whole family, and no one should be left out.

For Your Closet

Our homes aren't the only things that can get a little makeover this fall. This year we've been filling our closets with sweatpants in every color, but the world is slowly opening up again. If you're wanting to dress up your closet to be ready to hit the streets, then this is the guide for you. I've put together a collection of my favorite jewelry, bags, and most important of all, face masks for your trips out of the house.

The best way to style simple outfits for a day out on the town is to add a piece of statement jewelry. Crafty jewelry is the trend of the year, and is perfect for this exact kind of outfit. Here at Lucia's, we've got a full collection of on trend pieces, so this was hard but I've narrowed it down to my top 5 pieces. Click to shop.
